UK animal labs still under siege

Construction work restarted last week on a biomedical research facility at the University of Oxford. Completion of the centre has been delayed for 18 months because of protests by animal-rights groups. The original building contractor pulled out in July last year because of threats to its workers. Since then, no work has been carried out on the building, which should have been completed last autumn.
