Today, microarray technology delivers high throughput data in many ways. Beyond RNA expression, DNA microarrays provide miDNA, splice monitoring and whole genome analyzes. Affymetrix~® offers several high-powered solutions for each step in a whole-genome association study—from initial discovery, to replication and fine mapping, to sequence analysis and to functional testing of an allele. Researchers can use the GeneChip~® Human Mapping 500K Array set to analyze SNPs across the entire genome and then use the GeneChip~® Targeted Genotyping Assays to follow up on their genes and SNPs of choice. Already, more than 100 investigators are using the 500K microarray worldwide. There have been over 80 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals across multiple applications based on this same genotyping technology.
