The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg (Germany) (www.ie-freiburg.mpg.de) is in the process of identifying a new director in the field of immunobiology. The general interest of the institute is in mechanisms underlying the function of the immune system, cell signalling, regulation of gene expression and the epigenetic aspects of chromatin structure and function. We study these processes at the molecular, cellular and organismic levels and welcome the use of any experimental system.
