New road keeps the Clipsham coming

Clipsham Quarry Company (CQC) have made a major investment to create a new access road to their site that will stop thousands of lorries passing through the nearby village every year on their way to the Al. Bidwell Lane, which is just a few hundred metres to the west of the picturesque Rutland village of Clipsham, has been given a new entrance and upgraded with several passing places to make it suitable for quarry lorries. Managing Director of CQC Sue Thomas says the road will divert more than 5,000 heavy trucks a year from the winding village roads.
