Marshalls in talks with staff over plans to cut capacity at Stancliffe Stone

A consultation period with staff and their representatives at Stancliffe Stone, one of the UK's largest dimension stone supply companies operating 10 quarries, is due to be completed at the end of this month (July). The aim is to reduce the capacity of the company, which will include job losses. Marshalls, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, bought Stancliffe for £10million in 2001.
