Tom Flemons, Cliveden Conservation's long-standing manager of its Bath Workshop, has been awarded the SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) Gwyn Watkins Award for 2020.Stonemason Tom received the award for his outstanding personal contribution both to traditional building skills and the SPAB Fellowship, a training scheme from which Tom himself has benefited and that has helped progress the careers of so many craftspeople in the heritage building conservation sector.The award recognises those who have demonstrated excellence in their own work, actively supported and encouraged other craftspeople, made a continuing contribution to conserving the built heritage, and supported SPAB and the Fellowship.
