Abakery has been fined more than $24,500 for its second offence under WA's fatigue management laws because it failed to ensure one of its drivers was taking legally required breaks.rnThe Geraldton Magistrates Court found Wytona Pty Ltd, trading as Sun City Bakeries, guilty of breaching OHS fatigue regulations.rnIn May 2007, A WorkSafe inspector stopped one of the company's drivers in Port Hedland after receiving a complaint from a former Wytona employee about the long working hours required of the company's drivers. The driver had been delivering bread from Geraldton to Port Hedland and surrounding areas, a trip of about 19 hours.rnUnder OHS regulations, commercial drivers cannot work for more than 17 hours in any 24-hour period without a break of at least seven hours.
