Between July 2010 and February 2011 there were 15 fatalities involving falling objects and 13 deaths resulting from falls from height in Australian workplaces. Changes proposed under the Work Health and Safety Act 2010 and model Work Health and Safety Regulations 2010 seek to eliminate and control risks associated with these incidents.
