Recently, media and various safety commentators have placed a greater spotlight on workplace carcinogens that can lead to cancers. We know that some occupations carry a greater risk of exposure to dangers such as solar radiation, diesel emissions, asbestos and crystalline silica. The number of people dying from a work-caused cancer far outstrips those dying because of work accidents. It's estimated that at least 742,000 people die worldwide every year.
