Some Oklahoma National Guard children had the opportunity to spend a night in a Navy submarine last month. That the USS Batfish has been out of commission for years and is part of the Muskogee War Memorial Park in eastern Oklahoma seemed to matter little to the visitors. Part of the Oklahoma Guards celebration of the Month of the Military Child, the event provided the kids with the chance to hear stories about the submarine in World War Ⅱ and sleep where the sailors slept while at sea during the war.
