Deployed Soldiers Learn Water Survival Training

Pennsylvania and Tennessee Army National Guard deployed as part of NATO's enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group Poland took a water survival course alongside members of the Polish 15th Mechanized Infantry Brigade last month. This three-day course took place at a beach in Gizycko, Poland, where soldiers challenged themselves on basic individual movement, water combatives and aquatic evasion techniques. "The course teaches soldiers how to be in aquatic environments, combat in extreme conditions and prepares soldiers to act under high-stress situations," said Polish army Capt. Tomasz Dembinski, the lead instructor.
