Army and Air National Guard representatives from every state and territory will gather to review 89 standing resolutions, 230 draft resolutions and at least 15 late or "emergency" resolutions. Most of the resolutions contain multiple related items. Deliberations are set to begin Aug. 26 and continue through Aug. 28. Approved resolutions, which are subject to a floor vote by conference delegates Aug. 29, will form the basis of next year's NGAUS legislative action plan. In state caucuses and other meetings, delegates will elect officers and representatives to the board of directors from Area II and Area V The retired/separated Army Guard officer and Air Guard company-grade representative also are up for election. The final tallies are subject to ratification by the full conference Aug. 29.
