The Air Force is testing a new acquisition tactic in its search for a commercial-off-the-shelf light air attack aircraft, in an experiment it has dubbed OA-X. Competitors will showcase their offerings at a flight demonstration at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico, in the hopes of selling up to 300 aircraft to the service.
