With the first quarter of 2012 firmly on the books, our CPE-MHN survey of the Leading Investors uncovered some surprising trends relating to level of activity by sector and transaction volume. Our survey, along with industry data and some anecdotal evidence, provided clues about how the commercial real estate industry is faring so far. Not surprisingly, multifamily stood out as top-of-mind among investors, while other sectors (most notably office and industrial) steadily and quietly attracted attention.
