This fall, the Big Apple should see a bumper crop of new residential products sprouting in all five boroughs, even as market conditions are slowing. With vacancy rates at 3 percent, New York has officially been in a housing crisis for years since the official definition of a housing emergency is a vacancy rate under 5 percent. At the moment, however, there is a glut of new for-sale housing on the market.
