Over the years there have been a number of instances in which very optimistic claims have been made about expecting revelation of TOP SECRET government materials about UFOs. Way back in 1979, The Washington Whispers column in U.S. News and World Report indicated there would soon be a major release of UFO material. This was during the Carter Administration. It never happened.
