Two aids to simplify using trigonometry when determining the size and height of a UFO

Suppose a witness says a UFO appeared as big as a golf ball at arm's length and it was about 1,000 feet away, ground distance. He says the UFO appeared to be 20 degrees high in the sky. From this data a MUFON field investigator can calculate the UFO's actual size, its altitude above the ground, and the actual air distance to the UFO.rnThese calculations usually require getting out a trigonometry book, finding the right formula, and looking up the trig values for the angles involved. I have developed two methods to help.
