In the May Journal Stanton Friedman does his customarily effective job of skewering mainstream science's ignorance about UFOs. Regarding skeptic Michael Shermer's views about black triangles, there are some in-depth points of interest. Supporting references of varying quality can be found online. Mr. Shermer notes triangles could be early experimental models of secret stealth bombers, as in the Belgian wave of 1989-90 [1]. There is a description of such a secret U.S. craft, the TR-3B, operating by the early '90's [2]. The catch is that part of its design is said to include mass- and inertia-cancelling gear back-engineered from UFOs by U.S. laboratories-thus, a direct UFO connection.
