Reader bemoans Journal articles that lack scientific focus or clear UFO relationship

I want to address something that has bothered me for quite some time. It regards MUFON's mission and how seriously the mainstream scientific community takes the UFO subject, and MUFON in particular. I am not a scientist, nor do I profess to be an expert in the field of ufology. I've been interested in UFOs since I was a kid growing up in the 1950s and '60s. I've been a member of MUFON for a couple of years now, and a field investigator in Maine for about a year and a half.
