Author and UFO researcher Chris Rutkowski has been called Canada's version of Fox Mulder, one of the two lead characters in X-Files, the TV show about investigations into the existence of alien life. The sci-fi series ran from 1993 to 2002 on the Fox network. Rutkowski's fascination with UFOs certainly rivals that of the fictional Mulder's, but in his approach to investigation he bears at least some similarity to Mulder's female sidekick on the show, the pragmatic and skeptical Agent Dana Scully.
