I was initially surprised and pleased to see the article, "The 1947 San Agustin Mystery" in the July, 2013, issue of the MUFON UFO Journal, immediately adjacent to my column, at that. However, the more I read, the more dismayed I became. It seemed a hatchet job from the start. Noting author Antonio Paris' background, an obvious explanation came to mind. Paris was heavily involved in military intelligence for many years. Selective choice of data was obvious. I will let the psychiatrists provide an answer to the obvious "Why" question. Clearly he is not stupid.
