At The Glosten Associates, we began talking about floating offshore wind in 2005. Witnessing the European momentum behind offshore wind development, our team envisioned that offshore wind would someday push out to deep water in search of better energy resources, and that floating platforms had the potential to become preferred to bottom-fixed foundations. Driven by a high level of both individual and corporate interest in contributing to the success of future renewable energy technology, Glosten began working to determine the best floating platform type in this new application of naval architecture.
