摘要

Nova Scotia promotes itself as "Canada's ocean playground," but it also is rapidly becoming a hub for innovation in ocean technology and "blue economy" startups. In the past few years, the region has seen a rise in ocean-based startups including new technologies and new applications of existing technologies emerging in every corner of the ocean sector. These include new ropeless gear technology for fisheries, new treatments for boats to prevent biofouling, increasing productivity and traceability of fish products, and more.
