SWANA Young Professionals (YPs) are an active and engaged group of professionals, age 35 or younger, who represent the future of solid waste management. They're energetic, motivated, and committed. They care about the environment, our industry, and helping each other succeed. They support fellow YPs by offering advice, brainstorming ideas and solutions, and sharing in the struggles and triumphs of working in this business.SWANA's YP Group is one of the most expansive networks of young people working in the solid waste industry. For many years, YP volunteers from all over the U.S. and Canada have been working as chapter representatives, board members, conference speakers, and committee leaders to help other young people grow within the industry and make a difference.
