Photographer Mike Shaffer recently took the NV out to the desert tor Motor Trend's 2013 Car of the Year testing. He came back with a little more than he left with. "Our gas privileges here at Motor Trend are very generous, and that's a generosity we don't take lightly. It's particularly helpful when big brutes like the NV are returning 13.9 mpg (worse when fully loaded with gear) and are being driven hundreds of miles into the desert.
