摘要

Does your shop have written emergency and fire prevention plans? Ne? Well, that's not surprising, because relatively few shops do. The fact is, however, that these plans are required by both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). What's more, local officials such as fire marshals may require them. The plans must be site-specific, addressing such issues as employee responsibilities, means of accounting for employees in an emergency, emergency contact information, alarm systems, evacuation plans including a set congregation point, a floor plan of the shop and employee training.
