Solution: According to Chrysler service bulletin 18-003-03, if there are no other codes stored and no driveability symptoms are present when the DTC sets, the code may be in error. Look up the build date of the vehicle. If it's prior to 1/2/03, the problem can be corrected by flashing the PCM with the latest Chrysler calibration. Flashing the PCM with new software files should turn off the MIL and eliminate the code instantaneously. Note that this flash update only applies to vehicles built before the date specified. Use the CARDONE All-Makes Flash Reprogrammer and a current Chrysler Tech Authority subscription to update the PCM to clear the code.
