Constrained Iron Ore Supply from Brazil & India

Although Australian iron ore exports have enjoyed impressive annual growth in the year so far (see opposite page), two key constraints on seaborne iron ore trade volumes this year have been (1) the absence so far of meaningful year-on-year export growth from Brazil and (2) a third successive year of declining exports from India.
