BDI AT 34-MONTH HIGH

Gains in vessel earnings across the four main dry bulk carrier sizes from the beginning of the month lifted the Baltic Exchange Dry Index to a 34-month high of 1,385 points by 15 September. Higher commodity prices have meant that the share of freight in the overall delivered cost has not increased in line with voyage rate increases.
