Eurostar prepares for next winter

As the summer heat pours down on Temple Mills depot in east London, Eurostar's top brass is thinking hard about protecting the trains inside the depot from extreme weather of a different type. Any repeat of the events of last December and January -when powdered snow entered the power cars and led to a series of trains breaking down in the Channel tunnel - has to be avoided at all costs.
