Alliance plans East Coast Pendolinos

Alliance Rail Holdings, the open-access rail development company, has announced plans for new high speed Pendolino express services on the East Coast main line.The services between London King's Cross, Newcastle and Edinburgh are proposed to start in December 2016, under the Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) brand. Alliance is part of the German Railways-owned Arriva rail group.
