The west Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has formed an alliance for the planning, design and construction of fourfuture extensions to the Midland Metro. The Midland Metro Alliance consists of the WMCA with Colas Rail and its partners Colas Ltd, Barhale, Thomas Vale and Auctus Management Group. A consortium of design experts, made up of Egis Rail, Tony Gee and Pell Frischmann, will work alongside the Alliance. All parties in the Alliance will share risks and rewards between them.
