Full service train restaurants

Contrary to public perception, British longdistance trains have a greater number of services offering a more comprehensive food and beverage offer than is the general case in mainland Europe. On Virgin West Coast, Virgin Crosscountry, Midland Mainline, Hull Trains and Eurostar, full meal service is only offered to first class customers at-seat, the provision of which is included in the ticket price. On the other hand, Great North Eastern Railway, 'one' and First Great Western still offer classic restaurant cars generally open to all comers.
