Hurricane forces coastal data storage inland

Advanced Data Storage owns more than 1.8 million miles of offshore and on-shore seismic data that must be stored digitally and in print. After Hurricane Katrina, the company moved away from outsourced storage and began designs for its own inland warehouse. A two-level, 80,000-square-foot, rack-supported archive and record system was installed in six weeks.
