At a large facility with over 250 employees, the older, conventional impact doors at Gardetto's were no longer getting the job done. John Gardetto Sr., president of the snack food company, says the high volume of forklift traffic made doorway visibility and employee safety a primary concern. Forklift traffic was wearing out the numerous bump-impact doors that separate the facility's processing, packaging, and distribution areas.
