Tuck loading and unloading operations have long been serious problems for large distributors of noor-loaded, non-palletized product, These companies suffer because of: 1.High employee turnover and low morale due to the routine, monotonous, and difficult nature of loading/unloading tasks. 2.High incidences of worker injury and stress due to challenging ergonom-ic conditions - the repetitive nature of the tasks, the heavy loads lifted, and the extreme climate inside the trailer. 3.Inadequate productivity in terms of product throughput and truck turnaround times due to the high degree of manual labor required.
