MBI At 28.0-Rate Of Contraction Increases

With a reading of 28.0, the January MBI indicates that the rate of contraction in the metalworking industry has increased. Five of the six subindices (the first six subindices in the table below) that comprise the MBI moved to their lowest levels since the MBI began.
