Use foam board patterns for accurate track boards

I prefer 3/4" plywood for myrnsubroadbed, but handling the heavy 4×8 sheets has become increasingly difficult as I've grown older. Also, as a former home remodeler, I tend to follow the "measure twice and cut once" approach as I've been expanding my HO layout.rnSome time ago, I was struggling with shaping the subroadbed for my narrow gauge Lizard Pass wye. This section of sub-roadbed had to be installed at a 63" elevation, the highest on the railroad, above the existing standard gauge line. In addition, this area's backdrop was 40" away from the aisle.
