Well, with the tried-and-true weathering techniques explained here, you can make your structures, vehicles, and rolling stock look just as great as the track and scenery. Weathering is a task some of us are reluctant to do, and that's understandable. After spending several hours assembling a structure kit, the last thing you want to do is potentially "ruin" the building with heavy or unrealistic weathering. That's why it's important to test your skills on scrap material or a cheap structure from a swap meet before committing them to a finished model.
