The man behind the Android operating system has launched a new smartphone, the accessory heavy Essential. The launch marks Andy Rubin's first major project since leaving Google. The smartphone runs Android and ships with a 360 degree camera that clicks onto the top of the device. Essential also supports wireless charging, lacks a headphone jack and its titanium build is "drop proof". The United States will be the first market for Essential, although the company is staying cagey about when it will go on sale.
