The Road to IMS: Bridging the Service Delivery Gap with HP SDP and OpenCall IMS Solutions

While enabling the delivery of cost effective innovative new services, the critical issue for service providers becomes the integration of existing services as well as the existing service creation and service delivery environments with IMS. To provide a smooth transition, HP offers the Service Delivery Platform (SDP) blueprint as a bridge between the existing legacy networks and the emerging IMS network. SDP allows service providers to get to market faster with new services, reduces service development and deployment complexity-simplifying service interaction-and eases service management issues. SDP provides an integrated service creation and delivery environment-extending from the core network to the actual device-allowing service providers to deliver sophisticated end-user services across multiple network types and generations. It features a standards-based development environment, automated partner management ecosystem, reliable revenue-sharing model for content providers and mobile virtual network operators (MVNOs) and defined service interaction methodology.
