From eruption to disruption - The recent eruption of the Eyjafjallajoekull volcano in Iceland and the disruption it did cause to the air traffic showed us how a well-designed and operating system handling millions of users/passengers per day can have its capacity and throughput highly decreased just because of a ash cloud in the air. The air traffic or interface is essential for a system like air transportation to function. It is exactly the same for a wireless system to properly operate and deliver services to millions of users.
