Submissions to the Spending Review are now in. Newcastle provided a 30-page document (with many links to compelling evidence) that sets out what is needed to continue to provide sustainable services for our residents over the next three years. Although we eagerly await the headline announcements on 27 October, we know we will not get a true sense of what this means for our councils until the Christmas decorations are up and we are ready for Santa.
