Borough hit out over enforcement powers

A row has broken out over the enforcement of coronavirus restrictions against retailers. Barking and Dagenham LBC used anti-social behaviour powers to issue community protection warning notices to Lidl, Salisbury's, Morrisons and B&M following complaints from the public. Barking and Dagenham's chief executive, Chris Naylor, was subsequently contacted by a Whitehall official.
