Stannard is new chief of Salford

Salford City Council has named Tom Stannard as its new chief executive, replacing Jim Taylor who will retire at the end of January. Mr Stanard has been corporate director for regeneration and economic growth at Wakefield City Council since 2018. He was previously director of economy and skills at Oldham MBC, and has held posts at the UK Learning and Work Institute, Blackburn with Darwen BC and London boroughs.
