We're making Slough a springboard for the UK

Perceptions are often hard to shift, but by adopting a long-term approach to regeneration, we're making significant inroads in Slough. Attracting multinational firms, leading property developers and young Londoners looking to live within commuting distance of London, Slough is blossoming and emerging as a vibrant and up-and-coming area. Our long-term plan to reinvigorate the town is transforming it into a better place to live, work, learn and invest as we improve housing for our residents, create vibrant public spaces, deliver better community infrastructure and enhance employment opportunities. Reflecting the socio-economic progress that has been made in recent years, Centre for Cities research has identified Slough as the second largest contributor to UK GDP after London and the town was recognised as the best place to work in the UK by Glassdoor for two years in a row.
