Accessing the arts in Islington

Iwas born in Islington and growingup in the borough, I developed apassion for theatre and performingarts at school. However, as a youngblack, Asian and minority ethnicperson raised by a single mother insocial housing, I was unaware of andtherefore unable to access some ofthe country’s finest and best-knowncultural destinations, despite theirbeing right on my doorstep.
