Council puts Chinatown development on notice

Liverpool City Council has issued a forfeiture notice against the developer that was working on one of its key regeneration projects for 2016/17. Chinatown Development Company (CDC) won the contract for the New Chinatown housing and leisure scheme in the city centre in June 2015. However, work on the site stalled after the contractor went into administration and failed to make two payments worth £475,000 each in August and December 2016.
