The chief executive officer of Conservative-run Northamptonshire CC has called for a public sector 'alarm system' to prevent other councils failing. Speaking at the annual summit of chief executives' organisation Solace, Theresa Grant said: 'There's so many things that went wrong that really should have set alarm bells off. People really do need to be looking how to intervene before it goes over the precipice. There needs to be some kind of alarm system within the public sector to stop that from happening.'
