LGA getting on board with payment by results plans

The Local Government Association (LGA) has said its members are 'keen' to look at social impact bonds after it was appointed to help support new schemes. The Big Lottery Fund has appointed Social Finance and the LGA to help organisations develop social impact bonds and other payment by results deals, as part of the Commissioning Better Outcomes programme, which is worth £40m. Under the agreement, proposals could also apply for funding from the Cabinet Office's £20m Social Outcomes Fund.
